Fireworks

Last night Mary and I went to the Lord Mayor Fireworks over at Waterloo!
It was really nice as I didn't get a chance to go to fireworks over Bonfire Night but they were quite short.
We then walked home and ended up in the middle or a McDonalds/Scout Leader riot! It was quite exciting.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Pinch Punch

Pinch Punch 1st of the month!
And with the 1st of "Movember" brings my first ever guest blog post!
This lovely lady I have known for the best part of 16 years and we grew up together.

She is my bestie and I asked her to answer some questions for you guys to get to know her better.
You can find Jo over at Jo Blogs where she is sharing her new life in Belfast with us!

Essential start to the day? Not great with mornings. Coffee and Chocolate Weetabix help me through though!

Favourite Colour? Green.
Gold/Silver? Silver generally, unless I'm competing at the Olympics!
Height? 5'7" maybe? Definitely somewhere between 5'4'' and 6'.

Liverpooool

I spent this weekend in Liverpool.
I am awful at accents (it is a well known fact) so the only word I can say in a scouse accent is 'worm'.
This word has been definitely overused during the last 3 days.
It was great seeing people again!

Anyway here are some photos from the weekend away:

I do love feet photos!!

Joel, Jasmine and Chazzy - looking very windswept.
We took a ferry from Wallasey (where we were staying) to Liverpool.

Some really interesting and beautiful buildings.

Scott, Tom and Stuart.
Stu couldn't stop singing the whole weekend - looks like he is mid-song here.

Myself and Andrew my dear friend and co-pianist.

Day 10

I've been putting off this post, just because I had absolutely nothing to photograph.
But tonight I do have something.

The challenge for today was to take a photo of something I've made..
Normally, as shown in other posts I do A LOT of baking.
Recently, I've been far too busy to even think about making any cakes or desserts.

BUT - my dear friend Nat came over tonight for dinner and so I have photos to show you.

Firstly, I made a random mix of gnocchi, chicken and vegetables:

Then I knocked up a chocolate bread and butter pudding:

I'd forgotten how much I love cooking - very therapeutic after a busy week.

Tomorrow I'm heading to Liverpool so there will be a blog hiatus but hopefully I'll have lots of photos to show you on Monday.

Have a lovely weekend. X

Day 9

Mary came back to London today! Yey!
I haven't seen her for almost 5 months so it's great that she is back.

Last night we went out for dinner with my family which was lovely - great to catch up with some good food.
Today has just been spent working and reading. Nothing very exciting at all.

The photo for today is a faceless self-portrait.
Here is mine:

It was taken when we went on our family holiday last summer.
This photo was taken somewhere off the coast of Italy.

Have a lovely Sunday! X

Scenes from the Weekend

Bit of a photo heavy post today, sorry.

This weekend was pretty busy.
After a late evening at work on Friday I had to get up on Saturday pretty early to go and meet my friend Nemi, who I haven't seen in AGES.

Berkshire have a county show every September for a weekend and it is about a 15 minute drive from my house, so we went there.
It is full of food, drink, animals and different shows and stands.
It's a nice place to visit although, pretty expensive.

Then yesterday I went to Reading to meet Scott and Laura (who you maybe remember from here)
It was really great to catch up and chat.
After we left Laura, Scott and I just had a quiet afternoon and then we went down to the arcade where Scott was obsessed with the basketball machine.
To be fair, he did beat the machine's high score, twice.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. X

My top score of 27!
Scott's top score of 40!

Place in the sun...

Again a major lack of posting. The weeks are just flying by and I seem to have no free time!
Last Saturday I was back in London and we spend the afternoon in the lovely Hampstead.
Amongst the showers Zach showed us around and told us all about the buildings and the famous people who had lived there.
It was a great afternoon. Thanks Zach!
So be prepared for another load of photos - have a good weekend. X

David works up in Hampstead so we popped in to see him.

Mazo's attempt to eat an unripe kiwi.

Posed much?
