That's when the blue Piccadilly takes me away from the city...

Wednesday afternoon... dreary and drizzling with rain. Piccadilly heaving with people as it's half term. But tucked quietly out of the way is a churchyard which is surrounded by iron gates, shrouding this secret courtyard from the outside busyness of London's shopping haven.

When I visited Piccadilly market it was compromised of around 8 stalls selling arts and crafts pieces. There was a stall selling old telephones which was intriguing and one selling old street signs. A number of stalls were selling their own, hand-made produce. Sadly there were many London tourist stalls which I think ruins the true sense of a London market. The traders were friendly though wanting to explain the origin of their work and the market was full of tourists.

This small, quiet, hidden area of central London is a great place to take a breather from everything around - do visit it if you are in the area.
